Ecuador fight back to beat Honduras
Ecuador moved into second place in World Cup Group E as two goals from Enner Valencia handed them a 2-1 win over Honduras in Curitiba.

Honduras had looked on course for their first ever World Cup win when Carlo Costly fired them in front on 31 minutes, but Valencia levelled from close range just three minutes later.

And the Pachuca striker moved alongside Karim Benzema, RobinvVan Persie, Thomas Mueller and Arjen Robben as the tournament's joint top scorer on three goals when he headed home the winner from Walter Ayovi's free-kick 25 minutes from time.

Ruiz had endured a couple of rough years while playing in England for Premier League club Fulham. At the beginning of this year, he was shipped out on loan to PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands, and there Ruiz began reviving his career. Although his future with Fulham remains unclear, today’s brilliant header hushed his detractors in Brazil. His goal actually eliminated the English squad from the World Cup. More importantly, the score allowed Costa Rica to qualify for the knockout stage of Brazil 2014.
