Ronaldo has posted 252 goals in 246 appearances since joining the Spanish titans in 2009 — the primary reason he is, according to Forbes magazine, the world’s second highest-compensated athlete at more than $80 million ($52 million in pre-tax salary, $28 million in global endorsements).

Yes, Dejagah is very good. I watched him play every week back when he was at Hertha BSC. Close friend of Kevin Prince Boateng then, who also played for Hertha.

Best referees so far have been Mark Geiger of the USA and Howard Webb of England. Someone made a big deal out of Geiger getting two matches prior to Howard Webb getting his first. However, one must keep in mind that Howard Webb has a tremendous reputation within FIFA and this is Geiger’s first World Cup. Howard will get assigned to a couple of very big matches in the knockout phase because everyone knows he is one of the top 2-3 most respected refs in the world. Since he did the final in 2010, it is certain he won’t be assigned the final this year.

Geiger has gotten rave reviews from FIFA and will be rewarded with at least one assignment in the knockout phase; maybe even two.

The Jananese ref who screwed up the Brazil-Croatia match was demoted to fourth official status and the LJ who screwd Mexico out of two goals has been sent home. FIFA does not tolerate incompetence from referees.

It’s very hot and humid on the field. Germans are having trouble to keep running. Africans don’t seem to mind.

Ghana really is playing for survival, I may be way way wrong but it seems likely the USA will win tomorrow and if Germany wins today as well, it’s too late for the other two.

If this holds up, the US MUST BEAT Portugal. A tie still puts them in jeopardy.
