the mass media also 99%-missed the original WMD discovery story, when the Russians convoyed (some 500 big trucks) the weaponry out of Iraq....the report (with impressive pictures) was carried for all of an hour or two, and then any mention of the WMD’s went dark.
Or the fact an Iraqi military higher up said they refitted aircraft to fly some to Syria.
Not long after this there was a foiled attack in Jordan from a militant group with Sarin gas. I wonder where they got that.

There was also the "lost" New York Times story fairly early in the war that some WMDs stored in a silo our troops were guarding somehow escaped from the silo. (Of course, that would mean there were actual WMD's, wouldn't it?)
