Quinn and Rose are off the air, and we await word that they are, hopefully, returning soon. (Stand by) Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have! So grab your coffee - or whatever you choose to start your day - and drop in for some political chit-chat, or just to shoot the breeze! We are all coming from - or going to - work, but we all stop in to say hi! Feel free to join us!
Morning FRiends! Running late this morning!
Good morning.
Spoke with someone today who had a meeting wth the new WJAS owner yesterday. Unless something develops the station will move. Still undecided on talk or a variation of nostalgia music.
The old owner is upset about the move and that the format could change. Hello...you SOLD IT!
Then again I haven’t seen FCC appoval anyplace yet so maybe the deal could fall apart.
And if any of this involves Q&R is unkown to radio grunts like me.
Thanks for the update p6!
As always, x’ing the fingers & toes.
Really!
Hubby’s been putting on ‘Bloomdaddy’ on the way in. We are having a hard time picking up KDKA with the weather the way it is. I dropped him off at work and turned off the radio. Better to drive in silence instead of constantly swearing at the radio! :-)
If I ever break down & get a smart phone....I would load it with pod casts & not listen to the radio. KDKA is ok - I like Larry Richert (especially when he does impersonations), but its fluff at best.
Socialist Canada votes for pipeline WORK to Canada’s West Coast for their Nation, while Communist Obamanation Democrats choose to regulate to NOT create WORK on the XL Pipeline within the former USA.
Most social engineering articles are about why The Federal Government is not forcing Businesses to give more jobs to people.
IOW, the people view a job as an entitlement that comes from the Federal Government forcing greedy businesses to pay their fair share so that everyone has a living wage.
The Reality is that the Federal Government is the primary restrictor of WORK that is allowed to be done in America.
The Federal Politicians in both parties speak of getting the economy going again while they spend themselves into bankruptcy 60 % into each Fiscal Year.
The Federal politicians in both parties speak of creating jobs, while paying the salaries of Regulators to write Regulations that restrict WORK that is allowed to be done in America.
Without an increase in WORK, there will be no increase in JOBS.
Those who oppose WORK thus oppose JOBS.
Right now, We, The Taxpayers, have 40 % more Federal Government than we can afford.
Right now, We, The People, have two political parties, the GOP-E and the Obama Democrats, that do not put the US Constitution to WORK.
It is time, - - - - time for a change.
My dad is a MAJOR WJAS fan.
When I told him what was going on he was crushed.
Even dropping Patti Page from the playlist is likely to really ruin his day.
Interesting comparison of two Dictators when losing became inevitable:
* Hitlers Fast tracking of Death Camps and
* Obamas Fast flooding of Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico.
IMHO: both Dictators saw their fast actions efforts as THE FINAL SOLUTION.
Hi Graewoulf:
Agreed on all accounts - and especially agreed that it is far past time for a change. Even if the GOP takes both House and Senate in November, I highly doubt that they will stop Obama. Why? Why are they so weak against this pResident? What is going on behind the scenes that we don’t know about?
I was looking today at a jobs website. Lots of customer service and sales jobs. Where are the industrial jobs? Until government gets off the backs of business, we are going to stagnate. How can any business support paying its employees $15.00 an hour to FLIP BURGERS?? Don’t they see the domino effect it will cause? I have two college degrees, I’ve written grants and have a lot of responsibility as part of my job. I don’t make $15.00 an hour!
Back to work (thankful that I DO have a job!)
Things that make you go “hmmmmm....”
