Economics professor Dave Brat stunned House Majority Leader Eric Cantor on Tuesday and left pundits, politicians and operatives scrambling for an explanation for the lopsided upset, but veteran conservative activist Richard Viguerie says its a simple matter of voters being fed up with Washington and the status quo.
Viguerie is a lifelong conservative activist going back to the earliest days of the movement and pioneered direct mail in political campaigning. He is now chairman of ConservativeHQ.com and author of Takeover: The 100-Year War for the Soul of the GOP and How Conservatives Can Finally Win It.
-snip-
Also, House Speaker John Boehner and several of his allies say Cantors loss does not change Boehners plans to remain as speaker next year. Viguerie believes otherwise.
I suspect that Boehner will hold on through this year and then step aside before the new Congress comes into office in 2015, he said.

I remember reading on FR that he decided to step down after this term ended and that was more than a year ago.

Bonehead, get a backbone, stop smoking, and take a course in public speaking. Or, just resign Monday. Take your pick.

Are they really so lunk-headed they don't get it? Willfully ignorant or looking for an angle, is more likely. Truly it's really quite simple: we are conservative and expect our representatives to lead by example. How hard is that to understand, really?

Politicians don't leave office until they are carried out on a slab from old age, or until an Eric Cantor type earthquake hits and they lose an election. Unfortunately that doesn't happen nearly often enough.
Political elites remaining in office is critical for the country's survival, you know. We couldn't survive without them.

SotH Johnny Walker/*HIC!* Boehmer, obviously has had
more pressing/important things on his mind like,
"When/Where do I get my next drink? ..and which brand?"
..hopefully the resignation of "the sot" shall toughen the Will of the House.

Boehner’s goal has been to get a majority in the Senate.
A reasonable, intelligent goal but it was counter to what a House Speaker should have been doing and caused him to do things with horrible effects upon the country.

They probably want him to serve til he drops since he’s such a ‘cooperative’ Speaker. Another Bernie, oops I mean Cochran.

Majority Leader Eric Cantor is infected with the cancer of BOEHNERISM.
An always present symptom of BOEHNERISM is that the infected Republican Politician ALWAYS Caves-In to whatever any Democrat Politician wants.
Replacing anyone in the US House Leadership who is terminally infected with the cancer of BOEHNERISM, in the words of President Ronald Reagan: - - - wouldnt make any sense at all.
Waiting beyond June, 2014 to kick out Boehner is insanity!

if true, a noble goal; but he should have first, become
a great (confident) leader first..@ which he failed.
