CHIP them. Interesting. Will stop the crime of identity theft. Lots of serial border jumping going on. Lots of felons perpetrating crimes on both sides, too.
That’s similar to my solution except... first time caught, Class B misdemeanor with 30 days mandatory in jail. Second time, felony with one year minimum in prison. Third and after, felony with five years prison mandatory. No release while awaiting adjudication... none needed... they are “illegal”. Period.
Oh, yeah... contract out the custody to Sheriff Joe for tents in the desert and baloney sandwiches.
When they get out, take them to the border and point them in a southerly direction.
