Freep-mail me to get on or off my pro-life and Catholic List:
Please ping me to note-worthy Pro-Life or Catholic threads, or other threads of general interest.
She was a complete train wreck. One of her ex-boyfriends, from that industry, pummeled her face so badly that she needed reconstructive surgery. At 40 she looked like a 55 year old stretch faced botox addict. She was addicted to drugs, her teenage son was a drug dealer, and she made my buddy's life a living hell. Totally scuttled his career. He finally divorced her and was left with two toddlers that had lasting effects from a doped up mommy. His career was over, he couldn't get a job because his reputation was destroyed. To his colleagues he was "that guy that married a porn star."
The poor woman. Why did she ever go in that I’ll never know.
I wonder what will happen to Miriam Weeks, the girl from Duke University who said she had to do porn to pay for school. Will be interesting to see where she is in about five years.
The problem is that the government has made it legal without a single vote, under the claim that it is free speech.
Watch out this thread might get pulled. Any thread that is critical of pornography gets pulled, with an insulting comment.
Why do these threads get pulled?
Is that true?
I had a very close childhood friend who ended up being a stripper in order to pay for college. Next thing I knew, her whole life was about the stripping and nothing about college. She told me horror stories about what happened backstage: other young women so strung out and/or drunk that they were vomiting and defecating on the floor in the locker room trying to get “ok” to go on stage. It really broke my heart.
She was way too smart, and too beautiful, to have been in that world, but there she was. She was surrounded by gross people who I could not tolerate, and sadly that ended our friendship, but I think of her often and hope she is ok.
Go rent the old movie “Star 80” to see what the life is really like for girls that do this.
I have given up trying to figure out why threads get pulled other than lack of sense of humor.
It’s been a while since I saw Star 80, but I think it was true story about a girl who became a playboy centerfold, but not a true hardcore porn star. Nevertheless, I am sure that the porn industry has created nothing but misery for the vast majority of its participants, despite efforts to make celebrities out of some of its “stars.”
The harm is not confined to people.
The porn industry is notorious for destroying hundreds and
hundreds of pool tables every year.
That was Dorothy Stratten, who was killed by her psycho BF.
Speaking of humor.
Most of the underpaid hookers stand on the street while the really good ones run for office.
If it feels good, do it. That’s why suicide and drugs and porn should be legal. Throw in abortion and euthanasia....of old, then crippled, then poor, no wait, homophobes!....and that’s how we go from Libertarian ideologies to Democrat Progressivism.
