An embarrassment for humanity. Poor America.

You can do all that, but unless you want a censorship style government like China or Iran, or a theocracy, you aren't going to back the train into the station.

America was a wonderful experiment— and it worked just fine for quite a while, before among other things, we became a giant company. Once you trade with the entire Earth, you can’t offend anyone, because they will stop buying your products. Best to build a wall and take care of your own. We can be a magnificent people, we just have to get frosty and start over.

A great civilization can have about 200 years before it starts to crap out, and we had a good run. If you’re realistic and understand it isn’t going to last forever, you can give it a whirl and you have a chance to make something amazing. The materials are still here— we just need our minds, and some focus. Oh, and that wall.

I disagree. It began in the 50’s when people decided to incorrectly push God out of public life and that they (simply by being born into a superior culture) were smarter than God and would define morality.
It's the story of the Old Testament. Those who love God worship God, build great societies, once there decide they know better and forget God, and everything goes to hell and suffering follows until they turn again to God.

It would have to be one hell of a wall that encompasses internet and media.
America's cultural values were founded, basically by puritans in the 17th century. Their influence shaped this country, and is still felt today in many areas (blue laws, dry counties etc..) . But puritans were a tiny, tiny minority of European society. Most people were not puritanical in England, Europe, and certainly not the rest of the word.
Once large scale immigration began, in the 19th century, and population growth exploded, it was over. A minority belief system cannot keep hold on a nation this big, even if your wall existed.

I found it humorous and saw a bunch of people having a great time. I really cant see the horror.

Someone must be a Futurama fan.
Fry: "Now if you'll excuse me, it's 8:00. Time to get busy." (starts listening to "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-a-lot)
Leela: "You can't just sit here in the dark listening to classical music."

It’s a classic rump-shakin’ good song, and looks like everyone was having a great time. Can’t see the problem here.

I have to agree...looked like fun. He’s a Seattle native and I just can’t get worked up over this harmless display.
Bigger fish to fry,
But, pardon the pun, no way, no how, I’m going to go up on stage for anything...let alone to shake my backside at anyone. Not. Going. To. Happen.

Hope you enjoyed our performance. :-)
To: When do we get liberated?
A song, backed by a symphony of all things, of a man who casually screws any woman he sees that has a large butt. That he can't help but womanizing any woman he sees with a large butt. Explicit lyrics of his fetish of large butts. And women dancing to this like imbeciles. This you see as normal and fun loving?
