[ “The alternative is to live in a world of tasteless sanitary perfection. Every effort to eliminate any possibility of harm brings us closer to assured mediocrity, where humans will only be able to taste flavors made in labs and designed to meet the expectations and demand of the lowest common denominators.” ]

Some auto immune diseases have been linked to people growing up in a TOO STERILE environment, their immune system sits there looking for stuff to defend against and doesn;t find anythign so it attacks their own body.

Cases of Asthma are very rare rurally vs. urban.

You are correct. I warn everyone that constantly cleaning their kid’s hands with anti-biotic wipes is not a good idea.

I was a very sick child. I had a truckload of allergies, plus asthma. Was I kept in a hermetically sealed room? Hell no! I was given an epi-pen and an inhaler and told to go play in God’s back 40. Because of that the only thing I still have a problem with is asthma, and that’s not very bad since I moved to the country. let kids get dirty and explore, that’s the only way they’ll build a halfway decent immune system.
