otherwise, if it is his word against hers, he would have been arrested, too

in the CCL class, you are NOT allowed to defend yourself if you have means to escape
you HAVE to leave your own home if under assault
you HAVE to let people break in and steal if you can escape
they do tell you that if you are cornered with no escape, then it is okay to use deadly force, but not until then
if you arte in public and you are saving someone or yourself from seriuous bodily harm or death, it is okay
but by yourself, you must first try to get away under CT law
