Everything about the Bergdahl blunder says ‘rush job’. The video they cite as demonstrating Bergdahl was on his last legs was made way back in December. True, they were plotting & planning how to get rid of the worst & most dangerous Guantanamo detainees for quite a while. But the VA scandal pushed the timetable. That is why even the Dems are jumping on the criticism bandwagon. If it had all been planned, they could have gotten Feinstein & the others on board. As it is, it is a bipartisan firestorm.

Keeping Dems and Repubs in Congress in the dark protects them from having to respond, protest, go public, etc.
Having no record that shows they knew beforehand, Congress can just sit there and be "upset" with the rest of us.
They're thankful the White House kept them out of the loop.
