To many men, she epitomized feminine, physical beauty. Yep, and she seemed to be, for the lack of a better word, approachable. Not plastic and distant like so many others, but approachable.
I suppose that if you had seen Monroe on the street and waved, she would have smiled and waved back.

I think so. I guess I always got that impression too, but I don't know how.
There isn't anything wrong with appreciating physical beauty. I think this woman was beautiful as well:

(although I admit I have heard Scarlett Johannson is a bit of a brain dead lib, she still has physical beauty which I appreciate)
