The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.'

Happy Sunday radio fans...what you up to this weekend?

A really interesting lineup tonight...Richard Diamond is fun...I’m curious about Frank Race and a solid 10pm hour- anything with the title “The Hunted” has to be good...and ending strong with Lights Out (don’t forget to buy Ironized Yeast).

A good evening is ahead...

Really fun. Grilling burgers, smoked a pork butt and sausage. Worked in the yard. Went for a drive. Watching boxing. Nothing negative to report. Life is fine...looking forward to a great Sunday night...

I'm also excited for California Chrome next week...

Excellent, Vision! Sounds great.

I just now realized that “Chester” is the “Mexican” guy helping Johnny. He does a great job, and he’s funny!

Yea, whacked out.

Right! It’s always disappointing to hear Ed capitulate to “political correctness.”

I'm so sick of living in a backwards world where some apologize for the (very mild)language used on a story of indian savagery. Like a battered wife syndrome.

America in 2014 is freakin sick at times.

Ain’t THAT the truth, Vision?! Me, too! This kind of crap is part of why we are where we are today—so many self-loathing, pansy idiots and too few rational truth-tellers!

Oh, the Bing was nice!

Hey, Gina — thanks for setting me up. Problem is, I don’t know where to click to get on the thread. I was exploring, but had no success. It’s nice to see that folks are communicating with each other.
