Awww, he’s precious.
Did you get another yorkie?
My husband keeps telling me that Cooper is ‘just a dog’ and that we’ll just get another if something happens to him. I don’t think so! He also is my little angel, the love of my life (don’t tell hubby!). Nothing could replace Cooper, not even another yorkie, IMO.
Strangely, I didn’t even want him in the first place. The cats just weren’t acting right - didn’t meet my husband at the door, didn’t fetch toys, etc. So he wanted a dog. I tried to talk him out of it! Crazy, now that I think back. Three days after we got Cooper, I told him that he needed to get his own dog because Cooper was mine.
.
No, I didn’t get another yorkie after Bobby. (named after Greyfriar’s Bobby, a terrier who became known in 19th-century Edinburgh for supposedly spending 14 years guarding the grave of his owner until he died himself)
I guess I felt like you; that no dog could replace my little angel.
We do have two yard dogs; a beautiful little white female Eskimo Spitz and a beautiful little red chow female. (both spayed) I love them, but not like Bobby.
Speaking of your husband’s wanting something to fetch, etc.
Our big, black tom, Tommy (Isn’t that original?)
will play fetch (when he’s in the mood), and shake hands with you. Cats CAN be taught tricks.
