Glad you liked the pictures. Thanks for the compliment!

Thank you very much for the compliment!
I appreciate it.
Yes, you’d never guess, but I’m Texan. LOL

“The combination of cats and dogs (complementary forces) bring balance and harmony.”
God provided us with dogs to give us unconditional love, obedience, and admiration.
He provided cats when all that went to our heads in order to humble us.
“LOLOLOL!! Cats are natural-born human behavioral specialists. I watched one methodically, patiently, firmly train a human with an IQ in the high 140s, to her preferred feeding time (morning) and as well when to remove himself from his studio for (actually smart and healthy) work breaks in the afternoon (so she could have his seat for a beauty nap).”
I was able to train my smartest cat to do tricks only after realizing I had to look at it from the point of view that she was training me to give her treats. I couldn’t use conventional dog methods (other than using a clicker to show her which behavior got me to give the treats.
Not to brag, but this one cat is so smart that i ran out of tricks to learn and started teaching her colors. Until I learned that cats are colorblind. If I was a better trainer, there is probably no limit to what she could learn.
I think that crazy cat lady would do a better job at POTUS than what we have now.
“I like them both. So what does that say about people like me?”

I believe that means that you’re bipetsual.
When a dog licks your face, he's showing you affection and fealty as his pack leader.
When a cat licks you, he's tasting to see if you need seasoning.
Dogs have owners, Cats have staff!
.
Your post, and the one you replied to are examples of the higher intelligence of cat owners.

That's pretty cute/clever, Yorkiemom.
This is my little angel yorkie who passed over the rainbow bridge about 5 years ago. I still miss him.
.
I know you meant that as a joke, and it IS funny, but actually when a cat licks you they are paying you a very very high compliment. It is a show of love.
Ask any cat expert on cat behavior.

Cute! (That’s true, re; cats having staff)
Bipetsual? Now that’s a cute one!
I’m impressed! In my home, the cats are definitely training us to do the tricks! {^)
Awww, he’s precious.
Did you get another yorkie?
My husband keeps telling me that Cooper is ‘just a dog’ and that we’ll just get another if something happens to him. I don’t think so! He also is my little angel, the love of my life (don’t tell hubby!). Nothing could replace Cooper, not even another yorkie, IMO.
Strangely, I didn’t even want him in the first place. The cats just weren’t acting right - didn’t meet my husband at the door, didn’t fetch toys, etc. So he wanted a dog. I tried to talk him out of it! Crazy, now that I think back. Three days after we got Cooper, I told him that he needed to get his own dog because Cooper was mine.
They are manipulative, aren’t they? But are so good at it that we enjoy being ‘taught’.
LOL! I never thought of it that way, but you're exactly right!!!
.
No, I didn’t get another yorkie after Bobby. (named after Greyfriar’s Bobby, a terrier who became known in 19th-century Edinburgh for supposedly spending 14 years guarding the grave of his owner until he died himself)
I guess I felt like you; that no dog could replace my little angel.
We do have two yard dogs; a beautiful little white female Eskimo Spitz and a beautiful little red chow female. (both spayed) I love them, but not like Bobby.
Speaking of your husband’s wanting something to fetch, etc.
Our big, black tom, Tommy (Isn’t that original?)
will play fetch (when he’s in the mood), and shake hands with you. Cats CAN be taught tricks.
.
“Cats CAN be taught tricks.”
Yup, see my post #85 ;)
Problem with Cotton is she will only do her tricks when SHE feels like it. I totally respect that. I guess I have admiration and respect for my cats, but an all encompassing love for my dog.
