Gillan has always been just about my favorite rock vocalist, and he's just great here. It amazes me how strong his voice still is (he's pushing 70) when so many of his peers have lost their pipes.

I know it isn’t one of the mentioned songs but I heard “Highway Star” today and why it isn’t a top ten or 20 song in classic rock countdowns is confounding to me. I know we all have different tastes but it really is among a group for the ultimate power song, rock and roll, automobiles, adrenaline.
