The last of the Pilgrims had arrived as a young girl, and long after everyone who could gainsay her had died, claimed that she was actually in the first boat, and sprang out before anyone else, including their leader, who was pissed about it. One of my 17th c pioneer ancestors exceeded a century in age when she passed.
