A 19-month-old boy critically injured when a police device was tossed into his bed has a 50 percent chance of surviving, his parents said today. But a northeast Georgia sheriff defends the officers actions, calling it a tragic accident. The last thing you want is law enforcement to injure someone innocent, Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. There was no malicious act performed. It was a terrible accident that was never supposed to happen. Hours after a confidential informant said he bought methamphetamine from Wanis Thometheva at a Habersham County home late Tuesday, officers returned to the home to arrest him.

The cops now get their training from the stupid TV drama shows.
The bottom like is no Amendment authorizing a new Prohibition was added to the Constitution. The 18th and the 21st establish the entire scope of, and the authorized methods to create prohibitions. Call what it is, unconstitutional prohibition.
Now the cop that threw the grenade has to live with this the rest of his life. However, the bottom line is if no drugs had been sold out of the house, no cops would have been there at 3am.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
So you are a witness to the selling of drugs out of the house?
Tell us how that happened, while you and your cop buddies go straight to hell.
That could happen to any of our families...unless you are living in a tony gated neighborhood.
I know a few locals, and they claim this shooting stinks to high heaven.
“Can I throw the grenade? Can I? Can I?”
“You know it’s Carl’s turn. You can shoot the dogs, though.”
“Oh boy, gonna shoot the dogs. Gonna shoot the dogs.”
If you can quickly flush drugs down the toilet, you're small-time.
There's two types of drug dealers; those who use forklifts and those who don't.
No knock. The flash bang was the first thing they did?
How is this not a crime?
The cops initiated the violence without reason and without evidence, the whole bunch should be sitting in cells.
Cops should have to watch the place, find some kind of evidence and then try a non-violent method of arrest if possible. If your first action is a grenade without even having a shred of evidence, you are a thug and a gang banger, badge or not

Me either.
that is not true.
there have been plenty of homeowners who have had cops do no-knmocks because they went to the wrong house. way too many. they’ve thought they were being home invaded - and they WERE - but by the g-damn cops.
And when was the last time a confidential informant (who may or may not exist) lied to the cops.
If the local grand jury had any balls the cop would be under indictment for felonious assault and attempted murder. Maybe the chance of being incarcerated in the general population would give these cops a second thought about executing their midnight knocks on the door with grenades.
It's not an accident when you purposely throw an explosive in someone's house.
no-knock warrants in the middle of the night are ridiculous. Whether you are a criminal or not, your instinct is self-defense. How safe is that for any of the parties involved? It’s not. They need to be rare.
“Now the cop that threw the grenade has to live with this the rest of his life.”
Given the sad reality that most of the “Armed & Armored Ubermenschen” have all the sensitivity of ill bred reptiles, I am sure the Flash/Bang pitcher will lose perhaps an hour of sleep.
And that will be wondering if any civil suit might be filed that his insurance and union can’t make go away.
More destroyed lives all because of no knocks and today’s cops are out of control thugs who are worse than the criminals they’re after.
In a just America he cop who threw the grenade and his boss who authorized it would be prosecuted ,and people like you would be ridiculed for the bootlicker you are based on your posting.
