PLANO The handwritten sign over the bar at Scruffy Duffies in Plano read: "I like my beer like I like my violence. Domestic."
The words are now gone, but their impact lingers.
"I was like, 'Oh my gosh, do you see this?'" said 24-year-old Courtney Williams. She couldn't believe what she saw on the chalkboard inside Scruffy Duffies Saturday night.
Williams was offended.
"How does someone think it's OK to put something like that up there?" she asked.
Williams asked the female bartender who had written the sign to erase it. Then Williams asked two managers.
They did not take it down.
Williams left the establishment at the Shops at Legacy and posted every detail along with a photo of the sign on Facebook.
That post has gone viral.

I believe in free speech but I do find this sign tasteless but not offensive.
The feminazis need to hike up their frilly panties, shut their yaps, and make me a sammich.

I don’t think it’s at all funny, and I wouldn’t patronize that place.
It's Plano, Tx. They have lots of 'em.

bummer
Still not as bad as the idiots in Detroit who got all wound up about the bar with a sign that said “No Colors Allowed”.
It was a biker bar.

Barefoot and pregnant.
I don't think it's funny either, but then you know they never did add that amendment that gives the people the right to not be offended. Your response is the correct one for you, don't patronize that bar! But there just may be enough men and women (domestic violence is a two way street) who are not offended by it to keep the bar profitable. That's the nice thing about AMERICA, at least for a while longer, we get to make our own choices.
Sir! Only if I’m wearing boots.
I hear you.
The 21st Century version of a letter to the editor; except it reaches thousands of people instantly. People who have been conditioned to be outraged at the slightest offense. People who demand action from the government.

This is how questionable weekends start... exchanging toasts in different languages...
