“Giese’s treatment regimen has since undergone revision (the second version omits the use of ribavirin). Two of 25 patients treated under the first protocol survived. A further 10 patients have been treated under the revised protocol, with a further two survivors.”
Pretty amazing considering no one survives. I hope they keep improving it...I’m sure smart, caring doctors will keep trying. Horrible disease.
It has been a long time and I just saw an article in a newspaper but I do remember the high pressure oxygen chamber.
I have never heard of one being used since then.
More recently I have read that some think Edgar Allan Poe died of rabies.
