Unless this guy completely hid his true self from his therapists they failed miserably

That's one of the hallmarks of narcissism -- patients who have it are called "therapist killers." Talking therapy was the wrong route for this kid, especially due to his photographic memory, which made it easier for him to lie and not get caught out. He needed some whole-body work, like Rolfing, kinesthetics, neurolinguistic reprogramming, and certainly the family needed therapy and instruction.

The moment the father dumped the mother for a young tart, all was lost. All extra money then went into the second family, and not into proper intervention for an already-ill child, which should certainly have included lots of family activities with Dad and son not focused on Dad's hot new sex life, nude photos of the hot new wife for sale@ $1,200 a pop on Saatchi, and making violent movies. Instead of taking the kid to church and involving him in outward-directed activities like soup kitchens, Habitat for Humanity or Peace Corps volunteering to suit their liberal agenda, they let the kid fester in violent video gaming for months at a time. If they are so opposed to guns, why did they allow him to use war video games?

I just reread the statement immediately after the shooting, which was that they didn’t know he had guns, were opposed to guns and support gun control. Typical liberals — “Gosh, how were we to know how this would happen after we voted democrat and supported every transgressive sexual outrage and progressive educational fad that came down the pike, never went to church, let our kid play violent video games and always dressed in the latest styles? We even had joint custody!”

He was a disaster waiting to happen. But his parents were too busy with their own life’s to do much about it. It just a shame that when this loser snapped, he did not go after those responsible: his parents.

His father dumped the mother and for periods of time defaulted on child support, while having another baby with the young replacement. The mother was blindsided, according to the shooter's screed. If the shooter's detailed diary is even 50% accurate, she also tried mightily to provide lots of friendship opportunities and worked hard to find a school that could deal with the kid's Asperger's syndrome, which is very hard to manage for mainstream schools. The dad is the one who threw his family under the bus.

The only other contemporary place we can go to see a young man in torment over his inability to have a meaningful relationship with a woman is the deprived world of young Muslim men.

Let's not forget communist China, where the one-child policy and sex-selective abortions have resulted in many more males than females. It's a huge social problem over there, and a grave risk to other nations of their readiness for war.

Just wait until the Chinese one child policy resulting in aborting females comes home to roost. Gonna be a lot of tormented men.

I questioned its authenticity except for the fact that nobody would have had time to fake it in that detail between Friday and now.

He did mention working on his "diary" as one of the ways he passed time when he first got to the college in Santa Barbara. It seemed to me a reason why the first part of the manifesto, his babyhood and childhood years, seemed so much more rational than the latter part of the manifesto.

I'm not a psychologist, either; but I think this screed will be studied and used as a case study in classrooms for decades to come. Everyone who might have helped this guy missed the boat; against an impossible backdrop of HIPPA laws that make it almost impossible to commit an narcissism-based, articulate denier for care.

The problem with the screed is that the author swerves between moments of lucidity and moments of batshit nuts... he clearly recognized the problem but managed to project blame externally. This thing would be too perfect to be believable if he hadn't actually gone out and done some of it.

The problem with Asperger's, OCD and anxiety-based disorders is that the person focuses obsessively on an idea to the exclusion of any obvious solution, even as time passes and more years bring more skills. As others have posted, nothing but his obsession with being a loser prevented him from purchasing some sex from a professional, or even an amateur. But he also had an overlay of wanting only the best, highest and most "exquisite" experience -- a word he used frequently. Only a fantasy perfect sexual experience with a willing hot blonde would do.

He is stuck in feeling powerlessly excluded from the decisions surrounding his parents' split and shuttling him back and forth. His father passively fails to defend him when the stepmother is harsh and rejecting. He has no power. His father is large, handsome, of the dominant racial group, and advertises his sexiness inappropriately. The shooter is small, mixed race, and tossed from pillar to post.

When he finally gets old enough to date, he even says that no one explains how it's supposed to work. He somewhat accurately sees all the downsides of the post-Sexual Revolution free market in sexual commodification, where competition based on looks, money and sex appeal seems to be the only currency.

To counteract his negative, loser self-talk, he would have needed a redemptive exposure to Christian religion. Going to Sunday School and church with a family and the repeated messages of hope and renewal, not even to mention a cultural ideal of sexual continence, might have pulled this kid just enough back off the edge. Instead, his father got the loony idea, perhaps emulating Michael Moore, of doing a documentary about celebrities' ideas about God, and not only abandoned the kid even further by flying around the world to interview people on film about their personal (most likely rejection) of the traditional gospel, but also failing financially in making that flop and cutting off child support as a result. The father was a real jerk on almost every level, imo. At least he had the proper British decency to express condolences to the families of the victims. Whether he has a clue how he trashed the lives of his wife, son, daughter, mother, mother-in-law, second wife and second son remains to be seen.

The young perp here was half Arab. His mother is Moroccan, his father a Brit.

Nope. The father is (English) Brit, but the mother is ethnic Chinese from Malaysia. The (non-blood) stepmother is Moroccan.

It’s my understanding that the Moroccan was his second wife. He fathered the spawn of satan with his first wife, a Malaysian woman who was also most likely muslim.

The mom has an ethnically Han Chinese name, and her mother is/was a legal resident of England going back many decades; so I seriously doubt she is or ever was any kind of a muslim. The screed mentions her wine pantry.

he’s definitely half Arab. Just look at his face and you know.

It's amazing that you would state such complete misinformation with such absolute certainty. Most people on FR research their bald assertions, because many others who value accurate reporting remember who is a reliable poster and who is not.

On another note it looks as though multiple witnesses put two men in the BMW.He may have had a handler.

Do you have any source for that?

Paragraph 10 of this story. Also the young blond lady in the video below said there were two men in the car. I saw the whole interview before it was edited. She said she saw two men drive up to her and the driver flashed a pistol and said “ what up” and she answered “ hey what up” turned away and felt a round wiz passed her head. She’s a lucky girl.

I saw a number of interviews with multiple witnesses saying there were two men in the car. Now , I can’t seem to locate any of the interviews. If they were scrubbed someone will post copies. I’m not saying there were two men in the car, eye witnesses said there were two men in the car.

Santa Barbara Sheriff Bill Brown would neither confirm or deny that two men were in the car

Wow. Thanks for the link about whether there was a second person in his car; I guess it's going to be like many of the other government "investigations" -- we will never really know. Logically speaking, however, there are innocent possibilities, since obviously it happened fast and people were ducking bullents. Pictures of the car show that the windows were all UV tinted, and this happened around 9:30 pm, which make interior visibility difficult. The passenger-side headrest or reflections off the windshield may have caused a mistaken impression of a second person.

If any of his friends was crazy enough to go out there and go with him, I would think police would have caught them immediately, because they would have pulled his phone logs right away. DailyMail reported that he called two of his childhood friends to go out there that weekend, but the one who was the source of the article said they turned him down:

Well , heres the thing. The guy was fruit loops,a complete nut job. He had no friends. If you look at his youtube rantings they have a quality to me that they were rehearsed. Hollywood is chock full of pedophile cults and government connection. I can’t beleive I’m thinking along these lines but after the Sandy Hook non event I would put nothing passed these people and their desire to disarm law abiding American citizens. They have big plans for us.

I’ve never seen a Hunger Games movie or show but I understand it’s about kids hunting kid’s. Kind of a self fulfilling prophecy for the father of the alleged killer. The Sandy Hook thing took about 2 to 3 years to put together.

It’s a win, win , win for the psychos

*The old man gets rid of his insane son.

*The button pushers have their robot killer.

*And they have another red herring to say Obama must do something about the guns.

The dead people are just a few eggs being broken for the omelet. The greater good of gun confiscation for our own good.

This is reaching but at this point I would not put it passed the demonic scum who have designs on absolute power and control.

The blonde girl who had the round wiz by her head was approached by the car. She was looking right at two suspects before shooting started in that location. The beginning of her interview she said she saw two men in the car but they edited it to where she says “ I thought it was an airsoft pistol”. I saw the original interview and she said very clearly there were two men in the car.

I’m saying Roger was cultivated and handled by someone. Its crazy, I know. But I’m here only because of what I’ve seen this administration do in the past.

Extortion 17, Benghazi, Sandy Hook, The Boston bombing with the Craft all over the place. I put nothing past them.

Joseph Goebbels a national socialist said:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Wow. Cannot say I agree with you, but I can see why you suspect nefarious collusion. A lot remains to be revealed in terms of what will inevitably be the police closing ranks over their misjudgment, when it appears they had the possibility of intervening, had they viewed the videos or checked on recent gun sales before talking to him. They took seven officers to "talk" to him -- couldn't they have gotten by with six, and the seventh work the computer? Lots of guilt to go around there, that will never be dealt with publicly.

In terms of pulling off such a complex scenario, how many variables could a controller control? Every cop on the Isla Vista force? Any bystander who might have taken him out -- and the alleged handler? In such an unrestricted crime scene -- blocks and blocks of a small city with interior and exterior spaces -- there would be myriad uncontrollable elements, such as independent armed security or security cameras at various buildings, hundreds of kids with video cellphones, etc. Police are probably demanding them all, but could they suppress any or all copies that show two perps? Worth suspending judgment, I believe.
