Jürgen Klinsmann has told his son to apologise to Landon Donovan for a disrespectful tweet after the striker was left out of the United States World Cup squad.
Jonathan Klinsmann, a goalkeeper with the US Under-18s, followed Thursdays squad announcement by tweeting: HAHAHAHAHAHAH DONOVAN HAHAHAHAA I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE UNTIL MY PHONE NOTIFIED ME followed by four emoticons with tears and another HAHA. The account was quickly deleted.
Hugely disappointed. I called him right away, the US coach, Klinsmann Sr, said on Friday. He realised just a few minutes after that what hes done. He came out of school kind of fooling around with his classmates and they just went off on Twitter, not being aware that hes actually followed on Twitter.

Group of Death.
Sounds that way to me too. The stink over leaving Donovan out, including comments from Donovan and Bruce Arena, lead me to believe he made the right decision. No one is indispensable.
Upsets occur ever so often in the World Cup, Donovan has more goals scored in the World Cup than guys like Ronaldo, Van Persie and Messi. Definitely looks like the wrong decision.
Real Madrid spend more on Gareth Bale’s contract than is spent for all of Atletico. Real, Barcelona, other teams have been great but it is substantially backed up with money.
And in turn, Atletico get what they put into it, as being at times, a feeder-type of club.
Donovan may have shown up in Jan. of this year heavy but it seems he lost the weight. Looks like as we speak, a game just finishing up sees Landon Donovan scoring 2 goals.
Whatever though.
