“Slow is smooth and smooth is fast! Never run into a gunfight.” Heard those two before?
First, thank you for your service to your country!
+1 to everything you said! My Marine brother was in charge of training groups of raghead Afghan cops to fight about 8 years ago. He said the most frustrating thing about the whole thing, was this psychology these people had to instinctively empty their magazines as fast as possible, regardless of the circumstances.
“He also never misses a shot, even when hes firing backward and using a mirror as a visual guide.”
And he only blows off a thousand dollars a week on ammo and spends eight hours a day at the range....
Thank you.
You’re welcome.
Hey, who is your Brother? I retired in 2008, after 34 years. I was the Gunner for the 2nd Marine Division. After retirement I was asked to go with the Marines into Afghanistan as the CG’s training advisor and ended up spending four years training the Afghan 215th Corps in Regional Command Southwest.
I’ll bet that I know your Brother!
I think I missed that episode. Surely it wasn’t Don Johnson’s character he drew on?
Sent you a PM...it’d be interesting if you did know him.
