Clearly, the bombing patterns indicate Calais. And Patton, who is at the head of the invasion army, would want to invade at the historical invasion route.

"Rain was the first enemy encountered by the 33d Division on New Guinea. I've read where in New Guinea, more American provisions were destroyed by moisture and temperature than by the Japanese.
