We let Archie sleep with us and she gets the lions share of treats. But she doesn’t hang around with us outside of the bedroom.
Our house is very competitive, with six cats, notably Prince Tomas. Tomas is a rescued lilac Mekong Bobtail (sort of like a Siamese, but cuter with a stub tail) and is a young, curious and aggressive male. He loves his people, but likes to play with cat-siblings too much for their comfort. A lot of them spend their time outside during the day to avoid him. I keep him on my lap when I work from home to give them a rest.
When my friend and neighbor got a divorce, we ended up taking their choc. lab from them when he was on the way to the pound. He has turned into a real sweetie and as goofy as the day is long. We had his littermate from 12 weeks old and it only seemed fitting that we save this dog from the death that he were to surely meet if he went to the pound. Yes, two labs is a chore but they are so happy and goofy dogs and our kids love them more than I ever imagined.
