I grew up in the surrounding neighborhood and earned my Eagle Scout rank in Troop 101, which is sponsored by this church and meets in the Fellowship Hall.

Interesting that the pastor was black — the church is almost all white.

I had no idea Westminster was a “mega-church”. First Presbyterian Church downtown is where I used to go and it has had 4000+ members since I can remember.

2000 is the usual figure I hear, as definitional for a "megachurch". Wikipedia, that font of all knowledge (YMMV), agrees.

A megachurch is a term used (primarily in the United States) to describe a Protestant church having 2,000[1] or more[2] persons in average weekend attendance.[3]
