We were both manufacturing engineers and worked together for many years, throughout our dating years
and after we were married. He is still in the business, but he asked me to quit about 17 years ago.

He got tired of coming home to a cold house and no dinner until I cooked it.

When we worked together, people used to tell us that they couldn’t stand to be with their respective spouses
24/7 the way we were. I was never rude enough to say, “Then why the heck did you get married?” But it
was on my mind a lot. ;-)

Good point! I get the same thing - I was a homeschooling Mom with a husband working out of our home so surrounded 24/7 by husband and kids. I loved it - still love it although I’m past the homeschooling era

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
