I have been working on night sky pictures for years.
Getting a photo like this is very difficult. It is spectacular.
I’m always impressesd by the milky way pictures like this one since we don’t actually see with the naked eye what the pictures show.
I thought so...until I looked closely.
There are duplicates of stars scattered at various points in the photo. If this was a fault of his stacking software, the misalignment would be apparent throughout, I would think.
Something has adulterated this pic, I'm just not sure what.
Maybe a composite of several elements photoshopped into one pic?
Maybe it's just my video card as I'm sure NASA confirmed the photo's veracity before publishing it.
Possibly because this is a "digital panorama created from 12 smaller images."
