I get pretty amazed at the skillsets that people exhibit. We rode in rickety old vehicles up and down curvy, narrow mountain roads without sliding off, plummeting down and getting killed. (That was at Barranca del Cobre—sp?) The bus drivers in Cancun did hair-raising stunts which amazingly didn’t involve us in collisions. It seems like they don’t use safety precautions and yet, amazingly, nothing happens (while I was there, at any rate).
