Supposedly Ridley Scott will direct this sequel. Harrison Ford is on record saying he hated being in Blade Runner.

OK, Indiana Jones, Han Solo and now Blade Runner. How long before “American Graffiti Again”? Tag line: Where were you in 2002?

Han Solo will “pick up a lightsaber again”?? Sheesh... research isn’t a high priority when writing these things, apparently; the only time Han ever wielded a lightsaber was to disembowel a dead taun-taun, I think...

The writer here apparently isn't familiar with Star Wars. Solo only wielded a lightsaber when he cut open the Tauntaun in The Empire Strikes Back. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't have touched a Jedi weapon.

Loved the movie, but thought the book was only ok. I would like a more complete back story. I wonder if Sean Young would be in it. Did she have a hard end date? Enquiring minds want to know.

Rehash, Redo, Remake, Reboot.
Hollywood can't come up with any new ideas.

More proof that Hollywood has run out of original ideas. Just do remakes after remakes.

This is my favorite Sy-Fi movie of all time and I think they should leave well enough alone. First off without Rutger Hauer (who was awesome - stold the show) it wouldn’t be Blade Runner. Second off, the best part of the movie was its open ended, though provoking plot which made you think. Was Decker a replicant himself? Was Decker the good guy or the bad guy in the movie? Or were there any good guys or bad guys in this movie? Were the replicants wrong in just wanting to live and doing what they think it took to survive? Making a sequel to Blade Runner would be like drawing a mustache on the Mona Lise.

In guessing his beautiful and sexy robot girlfriend in the movie will not have aged any.
That could keep a man young.

For the record, the “Director’s Cut” version of Blade Runner released on DVD without the voice over was vastly superior to the theatrical release.

When I first saw Harrison Ford in Star Wars decades ago, I never thought he’d become such a major star. I thought the Luke Skywalker actor would be big. It was not to be so.

One of the greatest sci-fi films at it’s time. Still a classic.

I know this is a minor nitpick that would go right past most people, but it is a blatant example of how the media never bothers to get accurate facts. As long as it is sort of close to what people generally think to be true, then its close enough.
News stories about "real" issues, like politics and major events, are replete with this exact sort of thing: inaccuracies that are just sort of in the ballpark of reality but just fundamentally untrue.
I wish more people would realize, when reading a story about anything in the news, that its chock full of "Han Solo with a lightsaber" type "facts".
