They made a big deal of Danica Patrick finishing in 7th place in a race last week. I was thinking WTF?

Tony Romo should be somewhere in the top 10.

As much as I hate to say it, being from Dallas, I’d have to put Dirk Nowitzki on the list.

Dirk? Really? would you say that now, or for his entire career?

Elvis Grbac-

Touted by Chiefs coach Marty Shottenheimer as a franchise quarterback he delivered mostly bupkis(and injuries) while Rich Gannon delivered most of the W's.

Al Bundy. What has he done since his four touchdowns in a single game? Exactly.

He’s never been a good defensive player. And a guy his size shouldn’t be so reliant on making jump shots.

http://www.nba.com/history/wilt100_moments.html Wilt did score 100 points in a single game. Granted he wasn't much of a team player, but he was a great athlete.

Danica Patrick. Need I say more. Who cares what kind of athlete she is? Danica delivers what her fans are looking for, as demonstrated by SI's emphasis on her athletic and toned body.

The other three are on the spectrum from thuggish to drug-enhanced to freakish.

Wilt may not have been a great basketball player, but I think he got a lot of people interesting in watching the game.

Agree completely on #1.

Re Wilt and his losing ways in history.

I saw the game cited below and knew two Aggies/Cowboys on the winning team.

“The Jayhawks won their next four games before losing to Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The Cowboys held the ball for the final three and a half minutes in order to win the game 56-54.[17] Both of the Jayhawks regular season losses were in part due to poor ball control by the Jayhawks./”

Re Danica Patrick, my wife and a younger relative in the past few months aske, “Has she won a race in the past several years?”

Now I can say, no.

David Beckham....a good marketer, but I don’t think he was all that great of a player. So he could bend the ball on free kicks.
