my daughter had 3 Peking ducks raised from hatching...they found out they also had a LARGE snapping turtle living in the pond....it took down one of the ducks and the remaining 2 would never go near the pond again, but a second one she saw a hawk eating on the far side of the pond....white ducks in the woods are just meals for many things. Gave the third one away. A friend had a snapper in his pond that he was gunning for. Finally came up one day when he had his gun. The snapper sunk like a rock...3 days later it floated to the top...weight 25 pounds and almost 2 foot long.
