Chasing a suspect and he feared for his life from a DOG!!!!!!!!!!!
The a$$hole was running after the suspect and all he had to do was avoid the dog.
Maybe we should support “rights for animals” so the cops who do this can be sent to jail.

"from a DOG"
It was a puppy, not a dog.

It seems like an either/or situation has arisen. Either our nation is hiring cops who are so jittery and scared of their own shadows that they open fire on anything that moves fast or our nation is hiring some very bloodthirsty maniacs who yearn for the chance to kill something and get away with it.
I expect in another generation's time the "cop shoots and kills dog because it came running up with tail wagging" stories will be replaced with "cop shoots and kills homeowner because she answered the door with a frown" stories.

Odd that the dog didn’t attack the suspect. Or maybe only the cop entered the citizen’s property where the dog was.
