IF? Sorry, the man is a dunce, not of the intellect of C.S. Lewis. I think the pope is a nutcase.

Are you thinking of the Angels? God did not send His son to save them.

I like the way the 2 new Star Trek movies went back to the kick ass style of TOS-good guys who don’t take a bunch of crap, even if it means pushing the envelope.

I think I liked Admiral Adama’s character in Battlestar Galactica-and the girl Starbuck’s for that reason-same attitude as Captain Kirk...

Animals are not capable of sin, but they aren’t capable of making value judgments like a human is, either. But in possessing the ability to think rationally and make value judgments, and having free will would make any sentient being possessing those qualities capable of choosing whether to sin or not-at least that is my take on it...

They would also likely have knowledge of a higher power/supreme being/creator, as well.

I have. The cat might throw up on the floor or miss the litter box. That doesn’t mean they understand right and wrong and have the capacity to choose evil.

I never watched Battlestar.

Yes, if you read Adam and Eve closely, the idea of knowing right from wrong is inseperable from the fall.

The way I explained it to my kid when she asked was that the knowledge of good and evil is in itself what makes humans capable of screwing up, and also knowing when we do it.

They show Battlestar on BBC America now and again as re-runs, so if you are interested, just keep checking their programming.

The Russian painter from my town is doing his portrait. One of my artist friends has taken classes from him. He is supposed to be a genius.

i am sorry for your loss, really. but i do hope that this means we can get Dan Bylsma. As @JapersRink tweeted last night, we will take Shero/Bylsma and you can have Mike Green, Marcus Johannsen and a bag of Twizzlers. xshub responded, but i LIKE Twizzlers, so make it Brooks Laich instead and it’s a go.

You can have Bylsma and Shero. Shero can’t build a playoff team around his superstars and Bylsma can’t get a team to play consistently.

Honestly, it’s a relief to not have to get all wound up about another playoff series. I can’t imagine what people with hypertension do this time of year.

Was just reading the comments here, and honestly, it's like reading about the Caps-- no grit, soft goals allowed, take the C away from Cindy. Everything that is said there has been said about the Caps. Proving that things just need to be switched up now and again. Then there's this from a Caps blog. BRING HIM HERE, we want him. The Caps fired Boudreau because of a similar loss, he'd lost the support of the team-- Ovi calling him a "fatf*ck", i wonder what Sid was calling Dan last night, when he was seen having words and gesticulating on the bench last night, too bad there was no mic there to catch THAT exchange. But Bruce is a fine coach, as we see the Ducks doing great with him. I was all for his firing back then, but it was probably a mistake, as they say here.

It’s not a mistake, because you need to change coaches and philosphies on occasion.

Like I said before, Bylsma benefitted from what came before him. He was able to loosen up the reins just a bit and get the best of both worlds (a strict system and individual creativity).

They need someone to make them play like a team. And they need the players who aren’t afraid to go to the net.
