2009-10 (FRESHMAN): Placed fifth in the Big 12 Championships 1,650 free (15:49.16), finished tenth in the 500 free consolation event... Placed fifth in 1,000 free against Minnesota (9:41.24)... Against Missouri S&T placed second in the 1,000 free (9:47.90) and third in the 500 free (4:44.21)... Also finished fifth against Drury in the 1,650 free (15:58.32)...
HIGH SCHOOL - Swam for the Kansas City Blazers swim team and for Rockhurst High School...was named to the 2006 All-Metro second team in the 500 free...qualified for Junior Nationals in the 800 free, 1500 free/1650 free from 2006-2009.
PERSONAL - Vito Cammisana is the son of Jerry and Josephine Cammisana...has two siblings, Antoinette (23) and Mariann (20)...major is undecided.

Why did you choose Missouri?
I chose Mizzou for the sense of family I felt with the team. Nothing beats having teammates you know will be there for you no matter what. I also felt a connection with Stephanie Rovig on my recruiting trip.
How has the program at Mizzou made you a better swimmer?
By helping me become a smarter swimmer and racer. I’ve learned that perfect races do not just happen, but rather are a product of day in and day out training to my limits.
What is your best memory with the team?
Dinner at Cracker Barrel, after the Arkansas swim meet, singing English pub songs, and cheersing mugs after every sentence spoken with my mates Mark Conroy, Stephanie Rovig, and Melissa Jamerson.
Favorite food:Skittles, preferably Wild Berry flavored, but I will eat them all
