In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of Word for the Day.
Impedimenta
Pl. Noun
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Class is in session....homework on the blackboard, apples on my desk.
Indeed you are. Good morning!
Now that my kitchen remodel is essentially done and has been for 2 months, it’s probably time to get the impedimenta of tools and stuff out of my living room. Then again, it’s fishing season, so I’m too busy for that.
What, are you eating OUT still? A++
Interesting. Will have to try that.
Harry Reid carries impedimenta
As he moves twenty miles left of cent-a
His obscene crony deals
Have withstood all appeals
He’s just a nasty old partisan yenta
LMAO A+++
I just spotted that on fb, I am going to try it, too.
I guess. If you believe vinegar is not a chemical. I usually just rinse stuff with water and it hasn’t killed me yet.
Washington’s dementia about socialism is their primary Impedimentia against actually improving the economy and improving people’s lives.
Assuming, of course, that Obama’s Washington actually WANTS to improve the economy and improve American life!
Heck no, it’s all done, I just have plywood countertops for now. I much prefer eating at home.
You’d also have to assume water is not a chemical.
You’re right. They don’t call it “the universal solvent” for nothing!
That guy is getting on my nerves. Can someone please tell him socialism is bad?
Just have him read Pope Pius XI:
“No one can be at the same time a good Catholic and a true socialist”
He doesn’t even have to go back that far. He could just read some of JP2’s stuff.
