The GOP never gets a Deep Throat. I don’t care how hard Trey Gowdy digs, it’s going to be unresolved. Sources will take the 5th, disappear, or otherwise be uncooperative.
They will withhold information, deny everything, and the press will tar and feather the effort as a partisan witchhunt. Eventually it will just be forgotten.
