But it seems a new intervention has come from an unlikely source... outer space.

U.S. Marines captured this incredible footage of what looks like a UFO hovering over a Taliban encampment - then blowing it to kingdom come.

That looks awful familiar. I think I’ve seen that footage on youtube before and the “UFO” looks a bit CGI-ish to me. Also, the “footage” is restricted to low-resolution 240p (so you can’t enlarge it without pixellation) is a bit of a clue too.

I’m calling Bull-Butter on this... But it would be very cool if all that money we sunk into DOD R&D produced a tactical or strategic UFO!! (Hey mother-russia, you better behave...)

It’s a fake. Look up on YouTube “JDAM with secondary” and you’ll find the exact video, just reversed 180 degrees, but without the UFO.
