Saw the DVD “Battle Of The Bulge” - toward the end it looked like they were fighting in a desert. No snow anywhere. Leave it to Hollyweird.

Actually, there was no snow at the beginning. Miserably wet.
I wondered how all those fox holes were dug in supposedly rock hard ground.
Watching some of the documentaries, one guy said the the Siberian Express moved in over night, and he woke up to one foot encased in solid ice, in what was a puddle a few hours earlier. He was a drummer, and refused to let them cut off his foot. He was lucky he recovered.

I could only imagine living in England during the Battle of Britain, and seeing the dogfights knowing literally what you were watching was going to determine the fate of your country.

Yes, but it did point out the significance of sending chocolate cake to the troops.

Were the photos colorized? They had color film although the b&w was cheaper.

The Band of Brothers episode almost makes you want to grab a coat, you literally feel the cold just watching it.

One of the dumbest war movies ever made. It was filmed in Spain btw.

Great pictures. I believe though, that the tanks in the first picture are M-36 Tank Destroyers.
