If you know how to play and know how to bet,it looks like your counting cards.
Wasn't even betting $20,000 a hand;)
Affleck can count , WOW !!!!
how is counting cards cheating
If you play Hearts, you darn well better count cards
Other than the fact that casinos don’t like it, how is counting cards cheating?
how is counting cards cheating
The House Rules say “The House Wins.” That’s the rules.
Like my Dad told me once,”see those casinos, they don’t build them off the winners”
Were you changing your bets? That’s the usual sign of a card counter. Just following basic strategy to the letter generally won’t get you tossed.
And why not :)?
Yes,gotta know when to change your bet.
Not letting the house win is cheating.
[casino gambler] != [sharpest knife in drawer]
Daredevil would never do something like that. Oh wait...
I doubt he is that smart
Counting cards? I didn’t know he even played with a full deck!
Ben Affleck, actor, screenwriter. Left the University of Vermont after one semester; then dropped out of Occidental College to pursue acting.
And I don’t count cards, way to complicated for me.
I was acquainted with Ionescu Tulcea while working at NU. A highly regarded mathmetician, he had written several books on gaming, not just balck jack. He was banned by every casino in Vegas, but due in part to his high reputation (he was a heck of nice guy too) he often was comped a Vegas hotel room and meals but told to stay clear of the gaming rooms. He thought it quite funny. He is a brilliant mathematician. He also loved tennis.
I don’t know what “counting cards” means. It seems like something you would need to do if you played cards.
Cute story. My husband had a week long conference in Vegas about twelve years ago and I with our twelve year old daughter met him there for the last three days. We did the hoover dam tourist junk and during those three days walked through all the casinos, visiting the shops, restaurants, etc., no kids allowed in casinos of course. Well we were walking MGM Casino periphery, trying to get to the other side and my husband walked over to a slot machine to look at it and my daughter ran over to fetch him away. When they were walking back, I could hear my daughter ask her dad, daddy, were you going to gamble on that machine? He leaned over and said no honey that’s how they built all these big buildings. Our daughter takes that no casting lots stuff seriously.
