But, but, but, what about GoreSat? Wasn't that supposed to do the same thing?
Actually, Gore's interference with the original mission objectives doomed the project by delaying it.
That's not to mention that hyper clean storage costs for the bird were about $1M/month, sitting at Goddard.
Then again, that's nothing compared to what Gore has in mind for taxpayers and consumers...
