That's exactly correct. The problem is that too many folks see "black" and "urban black culture" as the same thing. There is a relationship, but they are certainly not the same thing.

Just like "German" and "Nazi" are not the same thing.

That’s why people like Clarence Thomas aren’t considered as “black”, by them. He doesn’t subscribe to their culture.
