The rules are not different, we just decline to play the game. There is an old saying, when they say it is not about the money, it is about the money. Another one says money talks, BS walks. Sterling was given the heave ho becuase the sponsors were going to pull out, taking the money with them. The Braves would fire Hank Aaron in a minute if they saw an empty stadium, and knew it was because of his statements. The Braves would fire him in a minute if they knew that people would boycott their sponsors, and then their sponsors would pull away from them.
The problem is that what I spelled out will never happen. Becuase the same people who say they are outraged will go right through the turnstile at the next game, or watch on TV upping the ratings and advertising revenue.
Want the same result that Sterling got, stop using, attending, or watching the product put out by any company that sticks in your craw. If there are enough of us, as we say there are, then you will see results.
Do we want to get into the game, then we should act like it. When the whole Mozilla incident went down, I suggested that our side pick out a liberal CEO any liberal CEO and boycott that company until he was fired. Keep doing it until the other side cries uncle. That is what our opponents are doing, and the big corporations believe they mean it and it will cost them money, so they dance to their tune. If we want them to dance to our tune, we need to slap them around a little to show we mean it too.
I will use myself for example. I have been a Mets fan my whole life, right back to my first memories in the late 60’s. Last year Bill Maher became a minority owner of my favorite team. Since that day I have not watched one second of a Mets game on TV or at the stadium. I could not support a team that had this lowlife as an owner, no matter how small a piece. Unfortunately I might be a minority of one, since the team seems to not have noticed. Now if every body in the area who considered themselves a conservative did the same, they would notice and get rid of Bill Maher.
