WTF happened to Herman Rarebell?
Anecdote #1; I'm 45 years old and Scorpions playing Big Mac in Denver, CO in 1985 is tied for the LOUDEST rock concert I've ever been subjected to. My ears rang for days.
Anecdote #2; They they're tied with Jane's Addiction. Skull-crushingly loud.
And I've seen them all...
LOL. You beat me while I was traveling down memory lane.
Yup, and it damn near killed my enjoyment of the band.
I dunno, wasn’t all that familiar with the Scorpions lineup. I guess he’s still around doing other projects these days.
Back in those days I was more into AC/DC, Ozzy, Slayer, etc.
Shuffling off to the corner now.
Grumbling
Get off my lawn!
I still listen to those bands
That list of offenses would get him jailed in the USA, too.
Bad Boys Running Wild
Same. I listen to them regularly along with a lot of new hard rock/metal. If you have XM/Sirius my favorites are Ozzy’s Boneyard and Octane.
I remember. The Scorpions are all I listen to when I am downhill skiing. Their music just fits my ski style from the hard driving rock for high speed runs down black diamond trails, to the ballads for the sweeping vistas at the top of the mountain as you glide down through wide powder turns. In fact, I only listen to the Scorpions when I’m downhill skiing so I don’t burn out on their music during the rest of the year.
Yep. Go stumbling about drunk, loud and belligerent in New York, St. Louis, Rome, London, Dublin, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Moscow, Muscat, Shanghai, Montevideo, etc., and there's a good chance you'll wake up in handcuffs.
Yet, we're supposed to be outraged because Dubai police arrested an intoxicated rock drummer?
What would your one good reason be?
I had Sirius for 6 months last year when I bought my new truck but didn’t renew. I did like the metal stations but grew tired of them quickly honestly. When I want iron maiden, I want it now, dammit! Lol!
Herman Zee German
Yeah, I feel that way sometimes. I just use the satellite radio as a chance of pace - especially if I went to hear some new stuff. Stations like Octane play some of the newer hard rock/heavy metal and I like to hear new things. There is a surprising amount of new good rock out there, and I find it’s too easy to stay within the confines of what I grew up liking most. I love Maiden, Priest, etc, especially since those were my first concerts in my teens, but I do like to broaden my horizons.
Wot the bloody ‘ell!!!! You can’t even give the finger to Islam any more!!!
