About every 2-3 years, every superhero gets “killed” off in the comic books. It’s an age old dodge to temporarily boost sales. Somehow, the superhero is always miraculously resurrected in the next issue.
Somehow, this ploy always reminds me of when one whole season of “Dallas” was supposedly just a dream “Bobby” had.

Back in the day, the publishers knew that the way to goose sales was to put gorillas on the cover.
