If you can’t hit ‘em once with a .44 hit ‘em twice with a .22.

44's are too inaccurate to hit them once?

.44s buck too hard for most folks to shoot well.

Many would not handle the recoil of the 44, and you are right, probably miss.

I like a 45, not the gun that a 44 revolver is, but it will stop a man, and I would do what it takes...I haven’t, but I could shot another man if it were necessary to defend my loved ones and my property (Castle). And as for stopping power, a 22 or a 9 mm also has stopping power...just make it a well placed shot.

But better still, a 12 ga with ‘00’. They come in, won’t get passed the front door...
