Yes I can. I don’t want to but I know I can if I have to.

A lot of truth in that. Doesn’t matter how good the weapon is if you don’t have confidence in it. That’s why the old saying: If you can’t hit ‘em once with a .44 hit ‘em twice with a .22.

It’s old and likely to mis-fire.

Rule Nr. 1 of a gunfight: don't be there.
Failing that, be awesome, and supremely confident of your ability to emerge victorious. Make it legendary...or die.

The gun you know how to use best has biggest stopping power.

Real world logic.

So much depends upon the circumstances and environment at the critical time. I'm not bloodthirsty and macho, but I believe I have the will to do what is required. I do know that if the threat is directed at my wife or daughter, I will go for the gold. No hesitation before & no remorse after.

There’s an old, old saw that applies here: Beware the man with only one gun; he probably knows how to use it.

Nobody knows till the time comes but you can help desensitize yourself with drill and hunting is always a good way to tell if you can shoot to kill. I think rabbit, squirrel or small game...then build up to deer and hogs.

That's why the British used to "blood" the troops. Happens in our armed forces. That's why training is so important. Reflex beats having to think it out during an attack.

" The gun you know how to use best has biggest stopping power."

Ain't that the truth!

And, don't forget you have to have it with you to use it.

The are folks who have permits...and hand cannons they leave on the nightstand when they go out. Or the glove compartment.

I'd druther be carrying my Sig .380 than leaving my Barretta Model 96 at home.

“It isn’t always being fast, or even accurate, that counts. It’s being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren’t willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won’t.”
