This was the first time he’s been caught on camera, but I’m sure this wasn’t the first time he’s used that “Carotid Artery” blocking technique. As practice makes perfect, his technique was just too polished and perfect to have been a one time, spur of the moment event.
yep.
See my post #21.
In general, I support cops. They've got a cruddy job to do, dealing with the worst kind of people, at their very worst. I doubt that I could do it - could I treat a drug-addicted repeat child molester in a crack house with the same professionalism as I'd treat a generally law-abiding citizen at a routine traffic stop? I doubt it, and I especially think that I'd have a hard time keeping each incident isolated, particularly as I worked the job for a time and obtained a dim view of people in general.
I'd be curious to see where the hiring line is. How do you find someone who's aggressive enough to be a solid policeman - taking all of the risks associated with the job - but also one who can control their temper and be a voice of reason in what are nearly always high-stress situations? And, how did the uniformed clown in the video circumvent that process and get hired?
I think that those are the questions to be asked. Just my $0.02.
