Willie Nelson may be the ultimate hippie. But he's a love child with some kick.
The country star, who turns 81 on Tuesday, will receive the high honor in martial arts of a fifth-degree black belt, reports People.
Nelson will receive his recognition in a ceremony on Monday in Austin, Texas, for the modern Korean martial art of Gong Kwon Yu Sul.
The "Always on My Mind" singer reportedly began his practice decades ago when he first arrived in Nashville. Martial arts have since been a constant in his life.

I don’t listen to musicians for their politics as I don’t listen to politicians (with the exception of Jimmy Davis, former governor of Louisiana) for their music.

Neat story...one of the neighborhood kids that my son played with when he was a toddler, went to Louisiana and had Jimmy Davis sing “You Are My Sunshine” to him....the kid was about 4-5, and Jimmy Davis was 97.
