Coconut oil is awesome. I have a big tub on my shelf and use it often. It’s great for popping popcorn too!

I wish it were that easy?
Put the lime in the coconut.
Thanks for this post.
Hi all! Thanks for this post, and the helpful stories. Made me finally get up off my lazy behind and do something - like get the jar out of the cabinet - that’s been sitting there so long I had to use an adjustable wrench to get the top off!
Tip #1 - DON’T screw the top on too tight, a light touch is all it takes.
I use “Spectrum Naturals” - everybody’s correct @ cold pressed, non-hydrogenated (non-saturated)
Someone is giving me a gift too - Carrington Farms, a big ol tub!
Many of you have mentioned sleep issues, thyroid issues, etc. I want to “give back”...
I’m blessed to have taken a “Blood Chemistry and Nutrition’ seminar from this fine lady:

It was a few years ago, but the way I remember it is this:
- coco oil is a medium-chain fatty acid, therefor, the body doesn’t have to go to a lot of effort to ‘snip it apart’, and use it.
- it ‘occupies’ the neuro receptors that give us ‘carb cravings’ (lessening the carb craving)
- it provides energy to the brain, and reduces insulin resistance/metabolic syndrome/pre-diabetes
Insulin resistance>>>adrenals fire to get brain sugar>>>wakes you up>>>excess adrenal firing>>>messes with the thyroids...
It all ties in like a puzzle, and coco oil is an (if not THE) answer.
It has little taste to me, mix it in with my morning coffee.
Also, thanks for the beetroot, lecithin, and niacin tips.
Cheers!
Thanks for this. My brain clears itself at odd moments, and I’ll have no idea why I’m parked in the Walmart parking lot, or remember what the heck was I talking about just now.
bump for later
